Funds Needed for
Organ Valve Replacement

The Berghaus pipe organ is needing
some valve replacement at a cost of $3,500.
The goal is to have this project completed
in the first quarter of 2019 before Easter.
If you are interested in contributing,
please submit your offering to the SWIM
organ maintenance account 48-18.
Thank you for maintaining an
instrument we use to glorify God.
If you have any questions about the repairs, please contact
Julie Shipe McClain 608.219.9158

New Coffee Maker Please!
We thank Kathy Seffrood for making
coffee on Sunday mornings, and she is
stepping down from this responsibility.
Three options for us:
- volunteers a month at a time
(ex. one person for all of Jan and
another for Feb ... etc.)
- volunteers for a regular Sunday
(ex. on the first Sunday, another
person on the second Sunday .. etc.)
- no more coffee (gasp! :0)

Training is provided.  It takes about 30
minutes each week and can be set up
as early as Friday.  Kathy also helped
arrange for treats.  Can you make
treats or provide a $30 donation to
pay for treats?

Sunday Morning Treats
We've changed the way members help with Sunday treats.  Our goal each week is 16 dozen cookes or bars, yet that amount is too much for many bakers.  Now the goal is to get multiple bakers to donate smaller amounts yet still get our 200 treats.
Can you provide, say, 4 dozen cookies?  Sign up on the clip board on the treat table in the narthex.  When four bakers sign up, each has less work, yet we'll have plenty of treats.
For the non-bakers, you can provide all the treats with a donation of $25 to the church.  There's also a canister for donations on the table.

Ringing Badgers Handbells Concert
Saturday, January 5th, 2018

Two effective staff members have submitted their resignations.
Terry Tackett, our office manager, and Chandra Deprez, our Director of Sunday School, are each stepping down.  The Staff Parish Relations Committee will be posting these open positions and interviewing as soon as possible.
Terry has been our office manager and treasurer over the past 13 years.
Chandra has worked at the church for two.  Chandra's other job is working full time at the high school library.
Pastor Randy noted how grateful he is for the work of these women.
"Not only do they have the skills for the jobs, but the personalities, too.  They are effective and good to work with.  They've both taught me more about how ministry can be done - creatively and effectively - that I would not have created on my own".

Volunteer Spotlight for December

In December we are honoring the many, many caring people who volunteer to share their service to the church by helping with the funeral lunches, providing the delicious weekly treats and scooping ice cream at the fair.  We recieve the gratitude of so many people for serving lunch at the funerals at our church.  Each of these activities is so very important to the life of our church and its members.

To honor and thank all these caring, hard working, and dedicated volunteers for all they
do, we will be serving cake between services on
December 30th, 2018.

We invite you to join us
for worship.
Sundays at 8:00, 9:30 & 10:45 am
Sunday School at 9:15 am

Jesus said,

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."

Our church exists so that all people might find the way,
know the truth,
and experience the life!

Through discipleship, ministry,

we strive to bring the joy of knowing Christ to our members and community.
