October 15th - Pastor Service Notes

Last week, in the Hymn of Christ in Philippians 2, we learned that
God emptied himself and Jesus came as a human, a servant, an
  obedient servant, obedient to death.

This week, we see Paul's similar emptying in Philippians 3.
Although he would compare favorably to other religious leaders
based on his credentials and heritage, he learned they are not
enough to have a full relationship with God. He devalued those
successes for his salvation, but used them to bring others to eternal
  life in Christ.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month

Pray - The primary way to show support for our pastor,
the whole staff too, is to pray for them.
Serve in the Church - You can join a committee, offer to
help with Team KID or other children's ministry.
Show up on autumn and spring work days.
Give Generously - When the financial picture is good,
the pastors can focus on the spiritual aspects of
                their work.
Encourage their Families - Our pastors and staff work
hard, work weekends and work every holiday.
Speak Well of the Church - No church is perfect, and
complaining about the flaws in public does not
solve the imperfections.  Speak well of your
church as you would your spouse or other dear
                family.
Honor the whole Church Staff - Pastor Randy can be so
effective because he is surrounded by many
people who are competent and effective in their
ministry areas.  Be sure to appreciate our staff
with a card or kind word.

We invite you to join us
for worship.

Sundays at 8:00, 9:30 & 10:45 am

Sunday School at 9:15 am

Jesus said,

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life."

Our church exists so that all people might find the way,
know the truth,
and experience the life!

Through discipleship, ministry,
fellowship and worship
we strive to bring the joy of knowing Christ to our members and community.
