Sunday Morning Treats
We've changed the way members help with Sunday treats.  Our goal each week is 16 dozen cookes or bars, yet that amount is too much for many bakers.  Now the goal is to get multiple bakers to donate smaller amounts yet still get our 200 treats.
Can you provide, say, 4 dozen cookies?  Sign up on the clip board on the treat table in the narthex.  When four bakers sign up, each has less work, yet we'll have plenty of treats.
For the non-bakers, you can provide all the treats with a donation of $25 to the church.  There's also a canister for donations on the table.

Pastor’s Message – Easter Moring 04-12-20

Dear Beloved Church family,

Christ Is Risen indeed!

Greetings and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ who is risen today!

Sisters and brothers in Christ take your places here today in celebration and in awe.  What you are about to hear again, has the capacity to change the world we live in fear and anxiety today. Your very presence, even in your isolated and confined houses, attests to the rising up of life from the tomb of despair, and to the uncontrollable power of God.

It is Easter morning again and we will celebrate the presence of the Lord.

In face of a culture of death

A world of killing fields

A world of the walking dead

Christ is the head of the resurrection parade

Transforming our tears of betrayal into tears of joy

Giving us dancing shoes for the resurrection party.

And this glittering joker

Who has danced in the dragon’s jaws of death

Now dances with a dance that is full

Of nothing less than the fullness of God.

This is the dance of the new creation

This is the dance of life our of death

And in this dance all that was broken

All that was estranged

All that was alienated

All that was dislocated and disconnected

Is reconciled

Comes home

Is healed

And is made whole

-excerpted from Targum 2: subversive poetry in a postmodern world col. 1:15-20

By Sylvia C. Keesmaat and Brian J. Walsh

May God keep you safe and strengthen you with the Spirit in His very presence in your comings and going outs until we meet again!

Peace of God be with you always!

Pastor Don
