November 2017 - Pastor Service Notes
Pastor Randyís sermons will focus on the nature of the church, how
we function together as the community of faith. Our worship, service,
and learning are more than personal development, they are also
community development. We learn together and lean on one another
to be changed into the likeness of Jesus Christ. Whether itís Moses
leading a million people out of Egypt or Jesus getting 12 disciples to
cooperate, our faith always has a group component.

Volunteer Spotlight for November

In November we are honoring the great people who volunteer to share their service to the church. There are so many opportunities to do this: by serving on the Administrative Council and Mission Committee, or helping with Family Promise, the Blood Bank, Boy Scouts, spring and fall Clean up or sending care packages to our College Students. Each of these activities is so very important to the life of our church and its members.

Administrative Council - This is the governing body of
our church.  It makes suggestions and decisions on the
          path our church will follow.

Family Promise - There are a number of ways to help with
Family Promise:  by cooking meals, hosting the families
in the evening and staying overnight.  We also help to
set up at the beginning of the week and tear down when
the people move to the next church.  This is an amazing
program that helps people find permanent housing and
get their lives back on track.

Blood Bank - Our volunteers help this important program
by making and serving snacks after blood is given.

Boy Scouts - Our volunteers help to set a firm foundation
in young men with lessons that will serve them their
          entire lives.

Mission Committees - This group of people explore the
opportunities that are available for our church to reach
out and make a difference in many people's lives, from
Noah's Ark to Red Bird, with many stops in between.

Spring and Fall Clean Up - What could be better than
helping to keep our building and grounds updated and
fresh?  Again, there are so many opportunities to help,
from cleaning to painting to trimming bushes.  All of
these activities are vital to the health of our church.

College Students Mission - What better way to keep in
touch with our college students than to send a package
of goodies - right when the students need them the
most - for holidays, final tests time or just about
          anytime.

To honor and thank these many. many hard working, dedicated volunteers for all they do, we will be serving cake on November 26th between services.

We invite you to join us
for worship.
